 What is a bushfire?

A bushfire as you can tell by the name, is a fire that starts and spreads in the bush. It is quite a common natural hazard in Australia and has know to claim lives. In the south-east region of Australia (New South Wales & Victoria), bushfires are more dangerous and are more common during Autumn and Summer, The El Nino years and when there is a drought. Towards the North (Nothern Terriotory & Queensland) bushfires commonly occur during April - September). In the south-west region of Australia, bushfires occur more during the hot Summer days.
